The 10-Day Turnaround

Your 1st Step To Doubling Your NET Income While Taking An EXTRA Day Off Each Week
Day 1 Insight - Read this first today

Here we go.  Your 10-Day Turnaround has officially begun so now it’s time to create some wealth and have some fun!

(Ok, ok, I promise I won’t subject ya to my cheesy rhymes for all 10 days but I couldn’t resist starting us out on a light note to set the mood for our 10 days… ;-)

But I digress…

Back to the meat of today’s Insight…

One of the primary reasons we often struggle to get better results in our lives or in our businesses is because we are adding new stuff on top of the mess we already have, rather than lightening our load, starting with a fresh slate, and building from there.

Today’s Insight contains…

The 5-minute strategy to neutralize all the messes in your life and get a fresh start in any area you want new results in.

It starts with a simple realization:

  • Humans Are Messy

Making messes (physical, mental and emotional)- and having messes in our lives- is NORMAL.

It doesn’t mean you are messed up, off track, a loser, or incapable of change.  It merely means you are HUMAN.  We all make messes of things at time, me included.  We all live with messes, me included.  No big deal.

During the 10 days of our Turnaround, give yourself permission to realize that all the messes in your life are a perfectly normal part of being human.  (You can always go back to beating yourself up for having them at the end of the 10 Days, if it really jazzes ya to do such things… ;-)

This frees you to put today’s Insight into place.

It’s called…

The Principle Of The Blank Page

Your “Experiment” during the Turnaround is to allow yourself to view your life from this moment forward as a Blank Page.

  • You are free to create anything you want on that page.
  • Nothing that has happened to you in the past has to affect you today, unless you want it to.
  • For our 10 Days, you are the painter for the canvas of YOUR OWN Ideal Life.  You are free to paint it any way you wish, at any speed you wish, in any style you wish.  (Remember, this is an EXPERIMENT - try it for the 10 Days - I’m confident it will really help you, but hey, if it doesn’t you can always go back to the way you’ve been doing things in the past at the end of the 10 days)

Here’s the most powerful part of this Insight:

  • You are also free to “start over” with a fresh, blank page ANY TIME things aren’t going the way you’d like them to, any time you feel stuck, or any time you feel like it, for any reason.

And you can start over as often as you like - even multiple times in a single day if you need to.  I’ve done it many times myself.

Here’s a couple easy ways to apply this principle to set yourself up for more dramatic results during your 10-Day Turnaround:

Since 1996, I have active traded commodities and futures contracts.  Often, I had a specific annual return I wanted to make on my trading, but no one can predict the markets in advance so sometimes even with taking the proper trades, the account would be down at some point during the year.  Rather than have this lingering negative return hanging over my head that I knew could affect my ability to pull the trigger on future trades, I would use the Blank Page to “start over” in the middle of the year.  Just take whatever equity I had then and use that as my starting point and then base my objectives for growth on that.

You can do the same –

  • Let’s say you made a New Year’s resolution to make $100K this year and now it’s getting way into the year and you’re nowhere close- pull out your Blank Page and hit “reset”.  Today is Point Zero.  Now, your new objective is to make your $100K in the next 12 months, starting today.

What that does when you do something like that is take the vocal chords away from the voices in our heads that keeps screaming, “You screwed up”, or “You are so far behind you’ll never catch up” and instead give us a fresh start so we can begin anew with a different set of actions and not have any of the old stuff holding us back.

  • Try it out right now.  Choose one area of your life or business to apply a “blank page” to and give yourself permission to start fresh at point zero in that area.

I have no reply , I only have a blank page! Lets get started.

  2. Eva Wadie Says:

From today onwards for the next 12 months, I would like to realistically make $50K - $100K earnings through my business.

I would like to finish our house during this period and pay off our personal debts.

I would also like to manage my time effectively so that my productivity is valuable and accountable with results.

  3. Nice start Says:

I’m probably one of many who have so many unfinished pages on my computer: Ideas, concepts, articles etc etc.. I’ll start a new page now in the hope of filling it at some realistic time.

Great Idea! We often take on too much, and then suffer from info overload.
    Start with a blank page.

To concentrate on one thing at a time, and to be making £500 by March 2009

I have taken on so many different things at this time. I know that I need to finish one thing at a time. Need a blank page and start over,or at least finish one thing and go forward.

  8. Lisa Says:

Definitely a great way to get the voices to shut up!

I am excited about painting a new picture of my Ideal life!

  9. Sharon Says:

I like the idea of hitting the “reset” key (so speak). Like many others, I am suffering from information overload and as a result have derailed some of my own efforts by trying to achieve too many business objectives simultaneously, some fairly well thought out and others not so well planned. I believe this has resulted in counter-productivity. I am definitely looking to remove the clutter and reorganize starting with a blank page. Best wishes to all of those hoping to achieve success with the 10 day turnaround program.

  10. earl dazley Says:

(Hostgator now has a phone and has just gotten a server connection for my new blog.)

Considering my new blank page with new promises of a great future, I desire a 6-figure income during this next year and it can come within a short period of time. The time starts now.

Thanks for the opportunity to start new. Beginning with a new blank page allows one to begin again with no regrets of a possible past failure.

    JoAnn

  13. Jane Says:

    Gosh,

So many people in the same position as me. It’s nice to know I’m not alone in taking on too much and getting nowhere.

What a great opportunity to start with a clean slate.
Like everyone else, I’m looking forward to this new beginning.

  14. June Says:

I too am suffering from information overload and have signed up for way too many “Success” programs that it is completely impossible to keep up with, let alone get anything accomplished. I’m not sure how to start with a blank page given everything that is presently on my plate, but I’m willing to give it a shot. I need to remove some of the clutter in my life and get down to accomplishing something!

  15. janet Says:

glad im not on my own with feelings of getting no-where.seems so simple to start afresh, now i feel i have the permission to do so. forever grateful x

  16. Donato Santone Says:

I need to realize to take action and not procrastinate.

I am extremely overloaded and need to concentrate on what I already have.

At the start of this venture, I have been jumping from one page to another and must stop, so I can complete that page before moving on to the next. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!

I am setting a per day time limit working on my internet champions, so I can spend more quality time with my wife.

I know in my heart I can turn this uphill battle into a successful business with mentors like yourself taking the time with us. Thank you for this opportunity.

  19. Roger Says:

I’m also gilty of taking on too much on my plate and not really achieving anything. Today I,m starting with a blank page, I will cut out the clutter and focus my efforts.

  20. Sylvester Stallion Says:

Thanks for the wonderful insights, Jeff… my attention was drawn to the point where you talked about trading in commodities and futures contracts.. and the thrilling uncertainity and predicatability of trading..Being in a positive mental state where negativity is cleared, we can therefore be clear channels for the flow of life and the flow of the markets…
A ‘blank page’ , of course, does that…
    Thanks again..

  21. Reuben Says:

I am asking myself the question, “when will I see some results?”

  22. John Bonzo Says:

    Hi,

It sounds like there’s a truck load of people starting right along with me! It’s a comfort to know that I’m not alone. I bet if we work together, we can all start to fill our empty pages with success. It could be great to start over. I’ll have to see how it works.

    John

  23. Kham Hindon Says:

i don’t have a website, either. just a dream. so i want to begin again, glad that i’m by no means the only one in this journey.

  26. Joyce Says:

A blank page is like a breath of fresh air. The first few times I looked at that blank page, all I saw was a blank sheet of paper and it made me chuckle. But no goals or questions came. But then I realized that I don’t know where I am going and instead of a plan, I have a blank sheet of paper. I need to establish a game plan and set out daily tasks or I will continue to go nowhere and my page will remain blank. Yes, I can “Paint” what I want on that blank page, but that means I HAVE TO TAKE ACTION! Thanks for pointing out that glaring problem with my life!

  27. Robert Gesmundo Says:

    Hi

    Very interesting start.thank you

have had a very busy day and just managed to jot down 2 main points

Make every effort ot sell the recruitment business to free up time
Concentrate on developing the Marriage Celebrant new business

Hope this what you required me to do

    Regards
    Robert

  28. Marsha Says:

A “blank page” opens up unlimited possibilities! I can concentrate on what I want to be and not what everyone expects me to be. I just have to remember what was on the “blank page” when I was 6 years old and everything was possible.

  29. Gerald Ragsdale Says:

It is like having a cluttered tool bag and dumping everything out onto the floor and then putting only back what you need to do your job. It goes ever so much faster and easier. A blank page huh!

  30. Lois Says:

Well, I have my blank page but it seems those \”little
    voices\” are talking
    more than ever.
    Here\’s one now:

\’Remember when you had your website almost completed but
    your family kept
interrupting you every 5 minutes? You
became so frustrated that you hit the wrong key and deleted the whole website! What makes
    you think this time
will be any different? Why even
    try?\’

I\’m determined to get through the 10 days.

    I sure hope those
    \”voices\” leave or
at least, take a back seat.

  31. Maria Angelica Muñoz Says:

I need the blank page for to begin again with more energy and focuss in only one area.I have been in many kinds of areas and I according with the rest ,I lost energy.I need to begin again

  32. Onai Says:

the blank page is like magic kind of separates or put your worries in groups. realised in life there is lot of mess we make as individuals, always worried about them but never look back to get a solution to one of them and they keep on piling until we cant take it any more then we are stressed out.

  33. Rebecca Says:

I know that one way that will help me with my blank slate is to clean up and eliminate the clutter in my apartment. I’ve been procastinating this all summer and now is the time to act! That will, hopefully, help clear out the clutter in my mind that tells me I can’t do it when I come up with ideas and/or goals.

It’s good to know that there are others on this path.

This will be a fun new adventure! Good luck and happy journey to all of us!

    Rebecca

  34. Christina Says:

Today is the beginning of the rest of my life. I refuse to let the past hold me back. The future look out for here I come!!!

  35. Thomas C. Roquemore Says:

I have had an interesting and diverse life. If I start everything with a blank page there would be and entire library of blank pages. I will need to archive a large part of it and decide which one thing I should begin anew and make it my project for a moment or a season and move on from there. I love the concept. It’s an excellent base to start from.

  36. Teresa Says:

Ah…the blank page - it brought feelings of freedom, hope, power to create those things in my life that aren’t present or that should be bigger…it reminded me of the time when I did a “no clock/time day”. I prepared the night before by covering all the clocks I was surrounded by so that when I woke up on the morning of “no clock” day that I could do anything…everything that I wanted without “having to serve time” to others or myself. It was an enlightening experiment & it also brought me feelings of freedom, hope & power. How often do we serve everything else in our lives other than ourselves?

Thanks for the lesson! (Although my assistant was puzzled by all the blank notes!;-))

  37. Christina Says:

I’ve always had the job of keeping things running smoothly around here regarding family and finance. Perhaps taking some advice on a different way of doing things could be benificial.

  38. Glen Says:

I am sorry but I do not understand this blank page thing?? How can you start over with a blank page in your life when you have so many responsibles, home , bills for living, debts you are responsible for. Comitments you have made to your self as well as others. That thing you are talking about to me makes no sence.
But if you are talking about priotarys now that makes seince. I am like so many of the orher people at 75 years young I have taken on a lot. I am going to college for learning computers and how to make this contraption do what I want it to do. Plus several other programs. Here I need to protorize and do first things first. I am in dior need of learning how to set up and sell what ever on a web site and getting it done. So far on this page I see no help,. Especially when all I have read are pretty much in the same boat as I am.

  39. Frank Says:

To start earning a steady monthly income of $3000 by the 15th of November 2008,leave my job and never have to look back on my previos life :-)

  40. Patricia Says:

Well, I don’t believe in coincidences or accidents. I believe everything happens for a reason and in its perfect time. Earlier tonight (without any thought of beginning this 10 day turnaround), I went to the drugstore on an errand for one item. Although I have plenty of notebooks, I was drawn to a particular one. Then I came home and went through my emails. I had no idea at the time why I would even want to buy that notebook. Now I know. It is for my blank slate, fresh start. Coincidence, I don’t think so!

My computer is a direct reflection of the clutter in my living space and in my head and, like so many others have already mentioned, I am in complete info overload.

  41. Fred Says:

It’s interesting; Even though I have been quite successful in the past, but for the last year and a half, I have accumulated so much debt that is scarry. I am now in a very bad financial situation where I have been scrambling to find the direction I want to go in order to empty all the baggage that I have accumulated at a very high cost both to me and my family. I am taking the first step NOW, to leave all that baggage behind and look forward to a new beginning. I know I will succeed in earning at least $150,000 in 2009 and will do it by helping others achieve their goals and aspirations.

  42. Ronald Says:

Really a wonderful exercise. As someone with TONS AND TONS on my plate - baggage as it were - I felt very light every time I saw the post-its.

And most of all that saying that I have been try ing to internalize lately came back to me. You know, the one about “the definition of insanity” - as for someone with a pretty alternative view of things, I have gotten into the most “chasing my tail” of daily routines.

Today, almost through no effort of my own, the pattern is broken.

  43. Kenneth Says:

I like the rest have many things on my plate. I will use this time to learn to concentrate on one thing.
