Today’s Lifestyle Creation Experiment (LCE) is so simple and easy many of you will be tempted to skip it.
However, the successful CEOS and entrepreneurs who have completed it in the past reported that it was one of the easiest ways to quickly dump a large chunk of the strain, stress and struggle from their minds and give themselves a powerful new starting point for maximum growth.
Needless to say, I highly recommend it.
This one is a quickie (not THAT kinda quickie, goofball!)…
You only need two things:
- One sheet of blank paper
- Four blank post-it notes
Here’s what you are going to do today:
- Fold up the sheet of blank paper and carry it with you all day - stick it in your purse or pocket, someplace where you’ll be frequently reminded of it during the day.
- Take everything else off your computer screen, bathroom mirror, refrigerator door, and dashboard of your car. Place one blank post-it note in each place.
That’s it. You’re done. Told ya it was a quickie.
Oh, yeah, you probably wanna know WHY we did those things.
OK, ok, here we go:
Today’s Insight revolved around the idea of the Blank Page. We just created five simple reminders of this concept so it stays at the forefront of your mind all day.
Just go through your day today as you normally would. Each time you see one of those reminders you put up for yourself, think “Blank Page” and jot down what comes to mind, good and bad, questions and answers, insights and challenges.
At the end of the day, pop back over here and share what you learned about yourself by doing this Lifestyle Creation Experiment today by posting a comment below.
Starting tomorrow, we’ll be adding in Business Growth Experiments each day to give your income and wealth a boost of new momentum so be sure to check for my Day 2 email in your In-Box tomorrow morning early.

Hi Jeff,
Today, after looking at my blank notes all day, I was getting frustrated as I couldnt find ways to pay my bills. Where was this all taking me. Who is going to help without asking for money first. More frustration. Getting so angry with myself because my partner does not work and just sits there doing cross word puzzles and constantly wanting to eat. When I see him just sitting there I feel so much anger. I cannot go out to work as I am housebound taking care of mom who is 90 y/o with set Dementia and needs me 24/7.

I have suddenly realised I need to take action and not procrastinate.
I am the only one that can determine my own destiny.
I need to block out all negative thoughts and influences and
Say I can do it, I will go forward from this day forth. and be a success.
I have looked at and bought into hundreds of make money online projects and
failed to implement to the extent of making any money-with disastrous results.
I have extreme overload and I need to concentrate on what I already have.
I need to start to do on one thing and when I have finised implementing this one
successfully move on to the next and so forth.
Dont jump from one thing to the next……without doing, taking action.
Yes I have heard that no matter what project you start
YOU CAN MAKE MONEY IF YOU STICK WITH IT WITH PROPER ADVISE.
You just need the proper mindset, do and believe in yourself.
and abundance will follow you.
BUT ACTION IS THE KEY.

Brilliant, Blank page is like forgiving yourself.
September 23rd, 2008 at 7:01 am
Thanks.
It seemed inevitable lately that this is what I needed to do, but just needed permission to do it. There is a tendency to try to do it all and do it all at once as well. After all, the more potential ventures the more potential successes, right? Not so. There are just more potential half successes and half thought out plans leading to none of them coming to completion. Reinvention may be the best way of getting it right, and for that you need a blank sheet.

Jeff:
This truly is a breath of fresh air. I have been applying this technique to my personal life for years and never thought about using it in my business for fear of, well just out of fear,(not making it to my goals or just falling short of them).
The way you explain it makes sense. I look forward to day two.
Sincerely:
T.C. Rogers

Not to have too many things going on at the same time but just to concentrate on one thing at a time to be successful. At present I was trying to do too many things in order to earn some money which I think is wrong because trying to do too many things I am not doing any one thing properly.

Hi Jeff I received your Day 1 Action Plan 7 hrs ago ( also your personal message, thank you)
This was a very interesting experience. I learned to push away those regrets , can’t change the past can we . We can however benefit and learn from our mistakes.
When I was a rebellious teenager my father presented me with a beautfully leather bound unlined page notebook with a gold Embossed title ” Barbara’s Jiminy Cricket” - I had forgotten about this in recent years-Whenever I wanted to become involved in something Dad didn’t approve of. He just said “ask Jiminy Cricket.”and hand me the book
At tthe top of the page would be a copy of my request..
I would then sit down with my blank page and way up the pros and cons in 2 columns.
I then had to decide if the action was worth the consequences. To his credit my Dad allowed me to decide and suffer the concequences.
He was very wise. forbiding me to do something would have led to defiance.
I sometimes made unwise choices but the good ones outwayed the bad.
It became a habit long after the book resided on a shelf unntouched, to momentarily pause and assess before taking action.
From today on a new start .Lets go!!

Just finished reading Day 1
Thank you for taking the time to do this for us,
I am a business owner of a small company of which I need to sit down and make approx 350 phone calls to set up appointments for people who have already pre-paid me for service, I should have been doing this task already but other stuff keeps steeling al of my time and befor I realize it , 9:30 pm has arrived and not much gets done.
Thank you, today is a blank page and all that is painted on it is that one task which I will start as soon as I send this,
I am not sure if this is what you had in mind or if just dreaming of the perfect life was the goal but this is hopefully going to work like a charm,
Thank You,
Jim Kyser.

I guess I have already implemented the ‘blank page’ idea this week to some extent; I am so busy with not enough time to do everything so I stopped looking at my agenda yesterday. I have specific time blocks reserved throughout the day for diffferent focuses like family, personal, business, etc. I know those time blocks by heart and have been adhering to them. What I haven’t been doing is looking at my long list of to do’s. Each block comes and I focus on one task at a time and ignore the other block until its time.
Thank you! Your ‘blank page’ concept has allowed me to let go of the guilt of not checking on that to do list. I’ve also discovered that in doing so I still manage to progress and with a lot less stress: I am no longer focused on all the little details and have to’s but rather on the important concepts or big picture for those time blocks.

Thank you. I need to make find a way of making money, and in trying to find the right thing for us, I have created a massive overload of information,
I am getting too many emails which mostly try to sell me something, which four or five emails have done previously. I am now having to unsubscribe to them, but do not know which are the good and which are the bad.
These are getting in the way because ther e are so many coming in, I tend to read them in sted of getting on and using some of my new found knowledge.
With my new start, I am going to unsubscribe to most, only leaving four or five I have found most useful in the past. (Yours being top of the list of course) And yes, my new years resolution is to make start my own business.
Thank you.

The blank page reminded me that I was starting over today. No more mistakes to beat myself over. I am actually more productive because I’m in a positive place. I gave myself permission to let it go. Thank you!
September 23rd, 2008 at 7:23 pm
I like this because I can say goodbye (till tomorrow) to all the things I didn’t get done today, and not feel bad about it. Not a bad way to start.
September 23rd, 2008 at 7:32 pm
I am starting over in every area except I want my kids! so I like your idea of the blank page.
It’s a new beginning.

Looking at the BLANK PAGE and post it notes (blank) reminds me of all the opportunities that i try to avail myself of.My new business just provided me with a good chance to make that 100k sooner than later.THANKS for the insight!

The blank page really did tell me that I could start over.My life has been screwed up financialy and socially. Although I felt thankfull for all I do have,I really did not know what to wright down, because I do not know how to begin to make it better. I am thankfull for finding your program, because I feel a positive impact from it. I am willing to give it my best shot, because you do seem yo care about helping people succeed.
I did decide , today, to fill out my divorce papers by my self without spending extra money on legal aide.I will do all I can by myself, then learn what I need to know to complete the job, and file for the minimin costs.
Thank you Jeff, I do feel stronger,

thank you for giving me the opportunity to be able to ‘forgive myself’ for whatever ‘mess’ i made in the past. and simply ‘begin again’. whatever i choose to do again, i will just concentrate on just one venture, and do it to the best of my ability.. i think my refrigerator door just lost ten pounds of paper from the excess stuff i had on it, man!

Prior to the 10 Day TurnAround my notes had notes and I was racing around trying to complete my To Do Lists. I couldn’t finish everything per my schedule and additional business and family obligations kept getting added to my lists. I was unable to prioritize because everything became important when it kept getting transferred to the next day. I was frustrated and exhausted and sometimes frozen into inaction due to overwhelming obligations, thus the list grew and grew. The blank page allowed me to relax , let go of the feeling of approaching disaster and focus on what was really important to accomplish using real deadlines; a million pounds has been lifted from my being and I can breath again.
September 24th, 2008 at 5:37 am
Was more than fruastrated when trying to fill in the blank pages because I could see clearly what is I need to do. a very good technique that you can always refer back to and start all over if its not working until you I get it right.
September 24th, 2008 at 11:50 am
Thanks Jeff,
I’ll never look at a blank page again without remembering that I can start anew any moment of any day!
September 24th, 2008 at 1:04 pm
Thanks Jeff,
I will keep the blank post-it note on my computer screen. Speaking with different associates about the same problem made me feel like I was turning into a parrot. I even jokingly said to a co-worker: ”Can’t you see the red feather growing on the top of my head?” Whenever I’m on the phone repeating lithanies of information, I just look at the blank note and remember that the person on the other end does not have a clue about what I want to discuss with them. My attitude towards having to do that has improved remendously.
Now I’m happy to do it, no matter how many times.

“NEW - FACIT”, A NEW START, FOCUS , ATTITUDE , COMMITMENT , IDENTIFY , TENACITY ! WOW! SO SIMPLE. GERRY.

This is amazing. I have so often felt that I screwed up all these different things in my life. I am a very visual person and learner so I saw life as a canvas and wished I could start again with a blank canvas. You are right, we have the opportunity daily or minute by minute to start with a fresh, blank page or canvas. It is also true that there is so much written about goals that we forget that living life and screwing up is just living. When I look back in life, I wish I did not have to screw up, but I learned a lot from all those screw-ups.
Perhaps my life is richer and I have met a whole different set of people because of my “screw-ups”. So the lessons are, don’t be afraid to live because you might screw up. Someone said “even if you fall flat on your face, at least you are moving forward” .
The second lesson is, that life is not a series of small projects. When I get this done, I will be happy or when I get this accomplished I will be successful. Life is an ongoing everyday, connected experience. Your canvas of life is blank and you can fill it with whatever colours or pictures you like each day. The more you paint, the more fun you will have and the more interesting your canvas will be. If you are afraid to paint because it may not look exactly as you imagine it, you will miss a lot in life. Life is living and getting out there and connecting with people. And sometimes life is getting the paint all over yourself. Life can be messy but it’s always interesting.

The concept of blank page seems to reinforce the idea of allowing the subconcious mind to direct and point out a direction. I have read and learnt about this a while ago and I do apply it in both my personal, professional and business activities.
September 25th, 2008 at 11:01 am
The blank page is a great idea. I really like it. You really can start over. Give yourself a “do over”. We give other people in our lives “do overs” and multiple chances all the time, but for some reason, we don’t give that to ourself. I have been frustrated at work and being frustrated I have not done the best I can. I am giving myself a “do over” today to get back to the person I was and the person I want to be.
September 27th, 2008 at 10:44 am
The main thought that kept coming to mind for me is that my life is a blank page, right now and in every moment. The past has no lock on me and I can re-write or create new anything I want. Every time I looked at the prompts, that’s the thought that rang in my ears.
September 27th, 2008 at 11:30 pm
hi Jeff, It’s nighttime and can not do much today, but I did place the post-it notes around. I had read about blocking one’s day out and doing tasks at their times, but i had forgotten all about it! the post-it notes are a great idea. t5hanks, I cann’t wait til tomorrow, and the days after.

I’ve come to realize that life and all its daily family, responsibilities, and life situations continue to go on, even while I’m trying so hard to keep my business alive. I love what I do, and I want very much to make it in my field of work. I’m struggling financially, even though clients love what I do…………….so, yes, I want to know how to turn things around for myself.
